Walking down the Thames!London 2012

 
There are really a lot of places that you should have to check on when you visit this city, but if you're there during the Olympics and visiting different venues that were scattered throughout the whole city,you  lose  4.5 hours to go and watch a sporting discipline! So how you know it, the day was fullfiled  even it was to short !Course Isidora  forced Stevan to make a walking tour whit us, and tour the places that we haven’t  seen and  would really be a shame and a pity! We went for a walk that started  from Tower Bridge , the bascule bridge across the Thames, which today  is rarely raised! High platform was closed for all the pedestrians since 1910 yr. until 1982. , and now it is on a  permanent exhibition of  the history and construction of the  bridge. A month before the Olympic Games  started on the bridge  25 feet wide Olympic circles were installed , so we had a chance to see them  on a special issue in the spirit of the Olympic Games!  Then we headed to Westminster Palace  with  the famous Big Ben , which is the largest clock tower in the world! This beautiful  building  96.3 meters high, built in the Gothic style, was designed by the architect Augustus Pugin! Inside, there is a 13 heavy  bell  and on each of the watches  whit gold letters written in Latin, "God, save our Queen Victoria." Of course, I ran around with a camera completely thrilled with the sight in front of me,  Isidora and Steve looked at me like a mad woman,  waiting to finish  pictures from  100 angles! While we were walking along the river, we passed another tourist attraction, unfortunately,  no one wanted to join me and make a circle on the London eye,  hope I will have the opportunity very soon  to fulfill my desire and do it!

     
    Šetnja uz Temzu!London 2012

  Postoji zaista mnogo mesta koje bi trebali da obidjete prilikom posete ovog grada, ali ako ste tamo u toku OI i obilazite razna borilišta koja su bila raštrkana po celom gradu, gubite po 4,5 sati samo na odlazak i gledanje jedne sportske discipline!Tako da kako god okreneš, dan nam je bio kratak i ispunjen!Naravno Isidora je naterala Stevu da napravimo turu šetnje, i obidjemo mesta koja da nismo videli bi zaista bila sramota i velika šteta!Uputili smo se u šetnju koja je počela od Tower Bridge-a, pokretnog mosta preko Temze, koji se danas retko podiže!Visoka platforma za pešake je sve od 1910 god. do 1982 god. bila zatvorena, a danas se na njoj nalazi stalna izložbena postavka o izgradnji i prošlosti mosta.Mesec dana pre početka olimpijskih igara na mostu su otkriveni 25 metara široki olimpijski krugovi, tako da smo imali priliku da ga vidimo u posebnom izdanju u duhu olimpijskih igara!  

   

         
     Zatim smo se zaputili do Vestminsterske palate u okviru koje se nalazi i  čuveni Big Ben, koji je najveća sahat kula na svetu!Ovu prelepu gradjevinu visine 96,3 metra, izgrađenu u neogotičkom stilu je dizajnirao arhitekta Augustus Pugin!Unutar njega se nalazi zvono teško 13 tona, a na svakom od satova pozlaćenim slovima na latinskom jeziku piše " Bože, čuvaj našu kraljicu Viktoriju". Naravno, ja sam trčkarala okolo sa fotoaparatom potpuno oduševljena prizorom ispred sebe, dok su me Isidora i Steva gledali kao ludaka i čekali da završim sa fotografisanjem iz sto jednog ugla!

        

  Dok smo šetali uz reku, prošli smo pored još jedne turističke atrakcije, na žalost niko nije hteo da mi se pridruži i napravi jedan krug u Londonskom oku!Nadam se da će biti prilike i to uskoro da ispunim sebi i tu želju!
