Olympic London,first days....

Although we got a visa at the last minute, I saw  us in London and believed that we will have a great time! It was not one of the top 10 cities that I wished to visit, but after this trip, I can say that I would gladly visit it  again, and soon because  I did n't  visited  even half of what I wanted to see in this great city! It surpasses my expectations, primarily because I imagined it as a depressed and gloomy city, and I'm known as an avid fan of summer, sun, flowers and spring! :) We were really lucky with the weather, it was sunny and warm just enough to be, with sometime  just for a couple drops of rain!On the Gatwick airport stuff  have told us that we arrived, but not and our suitcases! Organization and buying plane tickets were left to Isidora, who, even we had a pile of direct flights,  found a one   with a stopover  and with minimal time between the flights ! Already from Belgrade the flight was delayed, so they  were unable to transfer our bags! We where lucky cause the  bags  arrived next night around 2:30 AM! That night Isidora  got a night preach for about  two and a half hours on different subjects  by  Dragana  in her apartment while we were waiting for  deliver our luggage from the airport. Even, she even sang Brena  songs and danced  serbian folkloric dance, and her boyfriend, who is British,  could not believe what we were listening and singing !

     I'll be short on the first night, we were  cheering for our volleyball team, Isidoras  friends, colleagues, ... all with a bunch of hand luggage because we went straight from the airport to the game, which unfortunately did not end as we wanted.From there , again with all the stuff we went to a Japanese restaurant with excellent food, where Steva was waiting for us with his  friends! After dinner we went all together to a fancy club, in sneakers and trainers, still pulling all those things! What a  disaster! I'm going out in sneakers! Anyone who knows me will tell you that  I'm not on high heels  only when I go to practice or  I'm in a trainer! Even the exception that I've traveled in sneakers. We also survived that and had a crazy fun that night! Waking  up next morning  was one of the best in my life, I guess there is such an air ... I do not know ... Stevan  told us everything about a tube, we got our instructions and  our  wandering  through the  British capital  began! Immediately we met  Sandra and  we  walked all together to a small square close to her hotel, where we sat in a Spanish restaurant for dinner and  then  moved to a pub nearby  where we were joined by Robert, who arrived from one  of the London Olympic venues ... London welcomed us with open arms, with many friendly londoners. Our first impressions, even though we were without luggage, were more than great ...

                                                      Olympic London, prvih nekoliko dana....

 Iako smo vizu dobile u poslednji čas, ja sam nas videla u Londonu i verovala da ćemo se odlično provesti!Nije bio jedan od prvih 10 gradova koje imam želju da posetim, ali posle ovog putovanja mogu da kažem da ću ga vrlo rado posetiti ponovo, i to brzo jer nisam stigla da obiđem ni pola od onog što sam želela da vidim u ovom sjajnom gradu!Nadmašio je moja očekivanja, prvenstveno jer sam ga zamišljala kao jedan depresivan i tmuran grad, a ja sam poznata kao strastveni obožavalac leta, sunca, cveća i proleća! :) Imali smo zaista sreće sa vremenom, jer je bilo sunčano i toplo taman koliko treba, sa tek po nekom kapljicom  kiše!Za dobrodošlicu na aerodromu Gatwick su nam saopštili da smo mi stigli, ali ne i naši koferi!Organizaciju i kupovinu avionskih karata sam prepustila Isidori, koja je pored gomile direktnih letova našla karte sa presedanjem uz minimalno vreme između letova!Let iz Beograda je kasnio, tako da nisu uspeli da nam prebace kofere!Sreća stigli su sledeću noć oko 2.30 AM!Isidora je za kaznu tu noć dobila ribanje od dva ipo sata na neku drugu temu kod Dragane u stanu dok smo čekali da nam sa aerodroma isporuče naš prtljag, i usput pevali Brenu i igrali kolce, na opšte zgrožavanje Draganinog dečka koji je britanac i ne može da veruje šta mi to slušamo!
 Vratiću se na kratko na prvo veče, koje smo proveli navijajući za naše odbojkašice, Isidorine drugarice, koleginice,...sa sve gomilom ručnog prtljaga jer smo pravo sa aerodroma otišle na utakmicu, koja se na žalost nije završila kako smo zelele.Odatle, opet sa svim tim stvarima smo otišle u Japanski restoran sa odličnom hranom, gde nas je čekao Steva sa svojim prijateljima!

Nakon večere smo otišli svi zajedno u jedan fensi klub, u patikama i trenerici i dalje smo vukli sve one stvari!Dakle katastrofa!!!Ja u patikama u izlasku!!!Svako ko me poznaje će vam reći da sam to teško podnela, jer ja nisam na štiklama samo kad idem na trening i kad sam u trenerici!Čak je izuzetak i to što sam putovala u patikama, ali i to smo preživeli, čak se i ludo zabavili tu noć!Sledeće jutro i buđenje je bilo jedno od najlepših  u mom životu, valjda je takav vazduh tamo...ne znam...Stevan nas je upoznao sa tube-om, dobile smo instrukcije i naše zujanje po Britanskoj prestonici je počelo!Odmah smo se našli sa Sandrom koja je već sve doktorirala!Prošetali smo svi zajedno do jednog malenog trga u blizini njenog hotela, gde smo seli u španski restoran na večeru, posle toga smo se premestili u pab u blizini gde nam se pridružio i Robert koji je stigao sa jednog od olimpijskih borilišta...London nas je dočekao širom raširenih ruku, sa mnogo ljubaznih Londonera, prvi utisci čak i pored toga što smo bile bez prtljaga, više nego sjajni...
