Music festivals in Serbia!
A few
days ago, we headed to Vrnjacka Banja! For the fifth time, the team, small, but well chosen, started to perform at the festival. Every time we went
we took a different route, but the important thing is that we always arrived to the right spot! :)
Through the famous Ćićevac ,over, around and around, it does not matter! As usual, I took with me
my mum, who is an indispensable member
of our small team, and dancers of my dance team Tasha and Dragana. I made a
choreography and practiced for two hours, the night before the show. At 5 to 12, of course! : D On the way to VB, I
called the Festival PR to ask him how Andrej, the brother of my friend Maya, secondary music student, talented,
beautiful, all in a row, full of enthusiasm, made it! Of course he did not pass
to the finals, although he was more than excellent, better than 90% of
participants. It showed again, the
connections are miraculous
! We arrived at Banja, and went right to a trial where it gathered a bunch of
new planetary stars, all of them first-time
appearances, promoting their debut single! Noses, tearing the clouds, the same
as the previous two years! I smiled, and thought myself, you have no idea what
you were getting into! At this point I was trying to remember how I was before my first participation in
the festival ... whether I was just so full of optimism, enthusiasm, and that I
hoped that I would make a huge success, .. etc..
My
first appearance at the festival was in 2004. in Zrenjanin. I remember all my
favorite people came to support me, only my dear father followed the transmission at home. I had a terrible stage fear, there were a lot of singers who were big stars.
There was Radetic, my producer. And for the first time I was singing on the matrix! When I sang, and
descended from the stage, the first thing I made was a phone call to my dad who
has praised me and at that moment I cried with happiness! I remember that
moment as one of the best ,moments of my life! First, because dad was proud of
me, the other because I fulfilled my childhood dream to sing in a festival. The
third one, that all my dear people were
there to support me! Then came the other
festivals, Budva, Radio festival, and again Zrenjanin, Vrnjačka Banja, ...... 12 appearances in total and 5,6 awards, but
never the First! : D Now we arrive to what the writer wanted to say! : D Yes ... the First prize ...
Am I hoping that once I will get it? :) Well I am ... And I did, several times! :) When I had a strong lobby behind me (the manager who
tramples over all for what he want ... it is no accident that Mara became the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest),
and when they openly offered the First
prize to me, but with a condition to give back the car, which was the reward! :) I can tell
you one more thing, for most of the festival, I knew before it started who will
be the winner! It's a classic battle which clan will pull harder!
So, the advice to my dear young fellows is not
to hope too much, unless they have a mom, dad, boyfriend, lover, ... who will
buy them a reward, o they have a strong
manager who will give back a favor to the festival director ... or if they are
a part of a serious team against anything
can be done! So to summarize ... All festivals are pre arranged ! After all, the
victory does not mean that a song will
be a hit, which is proven! Neither, for example
the 12th place means that a song will not be a hit, also proven!
But despite all that, I still love
festivals, and I think they are great to promote any of these new
multi-planetary stars who would like to put their nose among the shinne stage-dragon, and try to
fight for its place under the sunny jungle called SERBIAN SHOWBIZZ SCENE! :)

Pre nekoliko dana, zaputili smo se u Vrnjačku banju! Po peti put je ekipa mala ali odabrana krenula da nastupi na festivalu. Jeste da smo svaki put isli drugačijom rutom, ali bitno je da smo stizali na cilj!!! :) Sad dal' preko čuvenih Ćićevaca, ili okolo naokolo potpuno je nebitno! Kao i obično, sa sobom sam vodila mamu, koja je nezaobilazan član našeg malog tima, i plesačice Tašu i Draganu. Koreografiju sam smišljala i vežbala čitava dva sata veče pred put, naravno u 5 do 12! :D U putu sam zvala PR-a festivala da ga pitam kako je prošao Andrej, brat od moje drugarice Maje, učenik srednje muzičke, talentovan, lep, sve po redu, pun entuzijazma! Naravno nije prošao u finale, iako je bio više nego odličan, i bolji od 90% učesnika, veza je čudo!!! Stigli smo u banju, i otišli pravo na probu gde se skupila gomila novih planetarnih zvezdica koje se po prvi put pojavljuju i promovišu svoj singl prvenac! Paraju nosevima oblake, identično kao i prethodne dve godine! Nasmešila sam se, i u sebi pomislila, nemate pojma u šta se upuštate! U tom momentu sam pokušala da se setim kakva sam ja bila pred moje prvo učešće na festivalu... da li sam bila isto tako puna optimizma, elana, i da li sam se nadala da ću napraviti ogroman uspeh,..i sl.
Moj prvi nastup na festivalu je bio 2004 god. u Zrenjaninu. Sećam se da su svi meni najdraži ljudi došli da mi pruže podršku, jedino je moj mili tata pratio prenos kod kuće. Imala sam užasnu tremu, em je bilo mnogo pevača koji su tada za mene bili velike zvezde, em od Radetića mog prestrogog producenta, em prvi put pevam na matricu! Kada sam otpevala i sišla sa bine prvo što sam uradila je bio telefonski razgovor sa tatom koji me je nahvalio i tog momenta sam zaplakala od sreće!!! Pamtim taj trenutak kao jedan od najlepših u životu! Prvo zbog toga što je tata bio ponosan na mene, drugo zato što mi se ispunio dečiji san da nastupim na nekom festivalu, i treće što su svi meni dragi ljudi bili tu da me podrže! Nakon toga krenuli su da se nižu festivali jedan za drugim, Budvanski, Radijski, pa ponovo Zrenjanin, Vrnjačka banja,...... naredjala sam 12 nastupa do danas i 5,6 nagrada, ali nikad prvu!!! :D E sad smo došli do toga šta je pisac hteo da kaže!!! :D Da...prva nagrada... jesam li se nadala nekad da ću je dobiti?! :) Pa jesam... nekoliko puta! :) Kada sam imala jak lobi iza sebe (menadžera koji gazi preko svega za ono što želi...nije slučajno Mara bila pobednica eurosonga), i kada su mi otvoreno ponudili da pobedim, ali da im vratim automobil koji je bio nagrada! :) Mogu vam reći još jednu stvar, za većinu festivala sam znala i pre nego što je počeo ko će biti pobednik! To je klasična borba čiji klan će jače povući!
Tako da je savet za moje drage mlade kolege da se ne nadaju previše, sem ako imaju mamu, tatu, dečka, ljubavnicu,... koji će im nagradu kupiti, ili jakog menadžera kojem je Đura koji je direktor festivala dužan uslugu... ili ozbiljan estradni tim protiv kojeg se ne može! Dakle da rezimiramo... svi festivali su na me šte ni! Uostalom pobeda ne znači i hit, što je dokazano! Niti npr. 12 mesto da neće biti hit, takođe dokazano!
Ali bez obzira na sve to, ja i dalje obožavam festivale, i smatram da su oni odlična promocija da neko od tih novih multi planetarnih zvezdica promoli nosić među estradne aždaje, i proba da se izbori za svoje mesto pod sunčanom džunglom zvanom SRPSKA ESTRADNA SCENA! :)
Tradicija se nastavlja!Ma gde otisle tokom leta na more, Budva je stalna destinacija, obično po više puta, ali ove godine par dana nam je bilo i više nego dovoljno!Ni Budva nije što je nekad bila!Pri tome da su cene avionskih karata, hotela, hrane, pića, izlazaka totalno ne srazmerne sa kvalitetom!Saćete svi reći ništa novo za CG!Ali ovoga puta je to zaista prešlo sve granice, tako da u našim bazama nismo sreli nikog živog poznatog, dok je to ranijih godina bilo nezamislivo, za svakim drugim stolom smo se nekome javljali...Što zbog vrtoglavih cena, što zbog krize, Budva poluprazna i svi se žale!
